3 de diciembre – Welcome to Chiapas. Introduction to a new adventure at the Southermost state of Mexico, where the first stop will be at Comitán, a magic town to taste a bit of its charming.

4 de diciembre – Canyoning in Tzimol 

The Escape Tour is a great getaway to refresh your senses and be at one with nature.Your adventure starts the moment you get on board our 4×4 trucks. Hold on tight as we make our way through the hills and mountains of this región from which you can enjoy the breath-taking views of the agricultural lands and cane fields below and the La Angostura river in the horizon. Upon arrival, we will take an easy 500m hike to get to the river and the first camping area.

Our guides will help you experience it all – from the tranquility and beauty of the forest to the thrills and excitement of exploring the river and the first and second waterfalls where you will challenge your fears and push your limits.

The main activity is canyoning (walking, scrambling, climbing, jumping and swimming in and along the river and waterfalls) with exhilarating jumps ranging from 1/2 meter to 7 meters.

For those who crave an even bigger adventure, you can add-on to your tour rappel, a 40-meter descent along a waterfall by rope.

5 de diciembre – Horseback riding to San Juan Chamula and trekking to Zinacantan.

Adventure and cultural tour to get to know and be in contact with the nature of the mountain riding among tall trees and corn plantations, walking paths and trails between pine and oak forests and learn about the work of the people of the Mayan Tsotsil communities. Their uses and customs, their culture and way of living, sharing a little bit with a local family and eating at home, is an experience to understand the ancestral traditions and the meaning of corn. 

6 de diciembre – Chiapa de Corzo is the firs colonial town funded by the Spanish people in Chiapas, it is remarkable by its traditions, culture, handicraft, gastronomy and historical sites.

The Mudejar arquitectonic style is very outstanding. The fountain, moorish inspiration, built on brick, unique in Iberoamerica, Santo Domingo church and the conventual building.

The main plaza, where the sacred tree is located, a ceiba tree related to the foundation of the town. At the main plaza is also the clock tower, in front are the portals where you will find the local handicrafs, some of the mos representative are the one make of laca.

9:00 Transfer to Chiapa de Corzo
10:30 Boat trip at the Sumidero Canyon. One of the natural wonders most impresives of Mexico and the world. It is a geological fault, of more tan 30 million years old, wich calcarious walls are 1,000 meters high. There are some waterfalls that adorn the landscape and feed the Grijalva river, one of the biggest rivers of the country.

The predominant vegetation is the subdesidious médium forest, the ideal hábitat and refuge to auge variety of fauna as the spider monkey, crocodilyes and hundred of birds (6 endangered species and 34 endemic sp.)

12:30 city tour in Chiapa de Corzo, visiting interesting places as the Ex convent of Santo Domingo, the main plaza, the tradition’s house, the Ángel Albino Corzo Museum and the portals.

15:00 Time to refresh at the hotel.
16:00 Laca Workshop. The ancestral tecnique to decor handicrafts of Chiapa de Corzo has a prehispanic origin, it is consists into aply a mix of seed’s and a mesoamerica insect’s oils know as “cochinilla”
18:00 Marimba workshop with tha famous Nanadayapa family musicians. The Marimba it is a very representative instrument of Chiapas, here you will witness diferent marimbas and rythms.
20:00 dinner time and overnight 

7 de diciembre –  Today will be full of adventure and adrenaline, at the Explora, ecoturismo and adventure style

9:00 Underground Adventure at Chorreadero Waterfall
Underground Adventure  where we will visit a cave. Here the 25 meters high Chorreadero Waterfall springs, it is formed by the Escopetazo river, that comes from the Deepest of the mountains.

Once inside we will walk trhough until we arrive to a huge natural room where a stream passes that forms underground waterfalls and pools of great beauty. The tour continues following the stream and we will do exciting rappels, jumps and swim repeatedly.
