Hassen Salum

A little over a decade ago, not knowing what I was getting into, I took a job as a photographer at a Los Cabos tour company. From that moment I fell in love with the photo and began to study it passionately.

My career as a photographer has always had a documentary approach, and has undergone various transformations, by chance of fate, from souvenirs to portraits, then weddings, products, commercial, and finally to international adventure tourism and video for 6 years. With the practice of these and other styles I have developed not only a very personal vision for telling stories through my images, but also one or two life lessons inspired by the challenges and joys of being a storyteller.

An international collaboration project with the nearby village of El Tigre and the Kingdom of Bhutan promoted community sustainability and conservation with adventure tourism development.

Always ready to take conservation and tourism even further, Rafael created the world’s first certified carbon neutral sporting event with the 2011 IRF World Rafting Championship in Costa Rica, thanks to a large-scale tree-planting campaign. He also led efforts to make the 2015 Latin American Congress for Private Conservation and the 2016 Adventure Travel World Summit to be carbon-neutral events.

It is already recognized as a forest medicine and is attracting visitors from around the world. Today, several countries like Spain, Great Britain, the United States among others, have followed in the footsteps of Japan. Mexico can be too. We have everything to do it.

Born in Madrid in 1975, since 2002 I began to travel throughout Argentina. From the very first moment I was captivated by the beauty of the landscapes and the diversity of its nature.

In 2011 I decided to move to San Martín de los Andes, where I founded Tierras Patagonicas, a touristic project aimed to show the wonders of Patagonia to visitors, getting out of the beaten path of the classic touristic circuits.
I design and lead road trips along Route 40, taking travellers to places far away from the main touristic centres. I am also a trekking guide, birding guide and wildlife photographer, so these activities are always an important part of my tours.
Nowadays I am operating under my own brand, Patagonian Wild (https://www.patagonianwild.com/en/), offering birding, nature photography and trekking tours. The essence of Patagonian Wild is to provide a customized service, so you can make your trip a different, unique and memorable experience. We work with small groups only, adapting each trip to the needs and interests of our customers. We support the local communities and businesses, aiming to make of responsible tourism a tool to preserve the natural areas we love.

Santiago Carrillo

I founded a family business dedicated to private Tourism especially related to Nature, Culture and Adventure. I am a National Parks guide and we focus our work on protected areas for the Birds’ Watching and Wild Fauna activities.

The Andean way of life, the original people communities, the regional food and the pleasure of a good high altitude wine allow us to combine wild life with the relax and comfort of boutique hotels. I am a passionate of the experiential and I constantly learn that the place we visit is a tool which help us achieve the main objective: personal transformation.

We were selected by specialized magazines such as Lugares, Adventure Time, ELLE Great Britain, Conde Nast Travelers and Diario La Nación to carry out numerous travel experiences and notes on alternative non-traditional circuits, getting to places where no one goes. We also work for National Geographic, BBC2, South African Broadcasting Corp. and we develop tourism programs for the International Committee of Industrial Heritage (TICCHI)
