ATMEX 2024: CHETUMAL WILL HOST THE FALL EDITION OF ADVENTURE TRAVEL MÉXICO
To continue to promote adventure tourism, ATMEX will take an unprecedented step this year by organizing two editions: one in Michoacán and the other in Chetumal. The first one took place in the spring season, from February 21 to 23, in Michoacán. The second edition will take place during the fall season, October 26 – 29, in Chetumal. This decision marks a milestone in the event’s trajectory, evidencing the commitment to promote the diversity and richness of Mexico’s tourist destinations.
For the second edition, Chetumal, the state of Quintana Roo capital, promises to offer an incomparable experience to ATMEX 2024 participants during the fall season. Emerging as an authentic natural paradise, this beautiful city will captivate the most adventurous with a wide range of outdoor experiences. The destination offers an idyllic setting for nature lovers, from delving into dense rainforests to diving into vibrant coral reefs or venturing on gentle kayak rides through crystal-clear waters.
However, Chetumal’s beauty goes beyond its natural charms; the city boasts a rich cultural and gastronomic heritage nurtured by a vibrant history and a wide range of tourist attractions. Among these are the captivating Museum of Mayan Culture and the fascinating archaeological site of Oxtanka. Additionally, the imposing Fort of San Felipe in Bacalar is just half an hour away, while less than two hours away, in Mahahual, lies the Banco Chinchorro Biosphere Reserve. This place is recognized as one of the best diving destinations in the Mexican Caribbean and is part of the second-largest barrier reef in the world.
This edition of ATMEX 2024 will undoubtedly provide the perfect opportunity to discover Chetumal, an ideal place to challenge the adventurous spirit, build community, and share experiences and knowledge.
See you in ATMEX Quintana Roo 2024!
