It has a protected natural area called “Pinal del Zamorano” between the municipalities of Tierra Blanca and San José Iturbide. In this region you can visit the “Arroyo Seco” archaeological zone where you can appreciate the cave paintings and visit the magical town of Mineral de Pozos, an incredible place where you will find giant cacti that are more than 400 years old. Since 2010, the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, which comprises more than 3,000 km from Mexico City to New Mexico in the USA, was declared a World Heritage Site for its invaluable contribution to the development of the new Spain, the northern region of the State. of Guanajuato that crosses this road together with the city of San Miguel de Allende (declared a World Heritage Site since 2008) and the city of Guanajuato (1988) create a unique place bringing together 3 inscribed on this list.
Two archaeological zones await you: Cañada de la Virgen and El Cóporo, in addition to the magical town of Dolores Hidalgo CIN.
