The ATMEX team responded to the challenges from the COVID-19 pandemic creating the first social and business platform for the Adventure and Nature Tourism industry in México that will be active all year long. Through this platform the participants of this edition will be able to keep in touch, generating interactions and business opportunities.
The ATMEX conference program featured 41 international speakers who spoke about the challenges, opportunities and realities of tourism that has been particularly difficult for the sector due to the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. . The program, built around the theme: Plan B, Reimagining Tourism, featured Chris Seek, CEO of Solimar International; Sonia Renison, author of the book Ruta 40: Five thousand two hundred kilometers from Patagonia to the North of Argentina; Natalia Bayona from the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO); Shaun Whitley of Travel Relations; Enrique Martínez Marín, President of SEGITTUR; Randy Durband, CEO of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC); York Hovest from Heroes of the Sea; Virginia Messina, General Director of the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), Jorge Zavala, founder of Quiero Aprender A; Sarah Miginiac, General Manager of G Adventures for Latin America; Adriana Prieto Gaspar De Alba, Jr. Manager of Sustainable Development of Aeroméxico; Rafael Gallo, President and Co-Founder of Ríos Tropicales, among other speakers
