Una red global para el rescate de nuestros mares por York Hovest

York Hovest Fundador de Heroes of the Sea, nacido en 1978 en Wesel, Renania del Norte-Westfalia, Alemania, es un fotógrafo de investigación, autor y aventurero que viaja por el mundo en busca de historias y destinos inspiradores. En su nuevo proyecto “Heroes of the Sea”, acompaña a personas que se han dedicado a salvar los océanos.

York conversará con la comunidad sobre su experiencia en la conservación de los mares a través de proyectos de fotografía, turismo y generación de redes en todo el mundo.

York Hovest, born 1978 in Germany, internationally successful photographer, lives in Munich and works all over the world. Touched by a personal meeting with the Dalai Lama in 2011 and inspired by his moving words, he turns his back on fashion photography and embarks on the most adventurous journey of his life, which takes him to Tibet.

In 2014, the accompanying bestseller illustrated book «100 Days of Tibet» will be published under the patronage of National Geographic.

After the resounding success of the first book, the second illustrated book «100 Days of Amazonia» will be published in 2016. For this York Hovest went into the partly still untouched depths of the rainforest area at the legendary Amazon. 

After several successful lecture tours throughout Germany, the Munich native is now devoting himself to his third and largest project to date. 

The oceans of our world. On the search for the «heroes of the seas» York accompanies scientists, visionaries and forward thinkers whose innovative and sustainable solutions could be a guideline for us to save the oceans. The overarching goal is to raise awareness and provide critical insight into topics that ultimately concern everyone.

York Hovest, nacido en 1978 en Alemania, fotógrafo de éxito internacional, vive en Munich y trabaja en todo el mundo. Conmovido por el  encuentro personal con  Dalai Lama en 2011 e inspirado por sus conmovedoras palabras, deja a un lado la fotografía de moda y se embarca en el viaje más aventurero de su vida, que lo llevó al Tíbet.

En 2014, el libro ilustrado «100 días del Tíbet» que lo acompaña se publicará bajo el patrocinio de National Geographic. Tras el rotundo éxito del primer libro, en 2016 se publicará el segundo libro ilustrado «100 días de Amazonia».

Para esto, York Hovest se adentra en las profundidades parcialmente todavía vírgenes del área de la selva tropical en el legendario Amazonas. Después de varias giras de conferencias exitosas por Alemania, el nativo de Munich se dedica ahora a su tercer y mayor proyecto hasta la fecha.

Los océanos de nuestro mundo.  En la búsqueda de los «héroes de los mares», York acompaña a científicos, visionarios y pensadores avanzados cuyas soluciones innovadoras y sostenibles podrían ser una guía para salvar los océanos.

El objetivo general es crear conciencia y proporcionar información crítica sobre temas que, en última instancia, preocupan a todos.
